Apparently the bots have struck again!
I saw this just posted over at icon_tutorial!

[MOD POST] Please Read Carefully
Dear friends, as the maintainer and founder of the community, I have to inform you that, due to the recent legal problems, I've decided to stop using LJ as a platform for my community. From now on, all new icon-related materials should be posted to the new community I've recently created, as for old entries, you will be able to find them there.

So once again, I say, if you see this posted at any of the communities I'm involved in, note that the community is not closing and for the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINKS!!!!

Thank you!

One of the ways to keep safe is to make sure your email address is current. More info here.

Someone sets up the bot and it targets those with out of date emails, such as hotmail accounts and when they hack into the account, they post that message. Particular words are linked and when someone clicks the link, it releases a virus onto their computer, destroying it, mostly the C drive which most people use for their main computer programs and functions.

Why they do this? I guess some people don't have anything better to do with their time.
